Sermon for November 29th, 2020

To members and friends of Franklintown UB Church:

While the PA Department of Health has strongly recommended the wearing of masks and social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19,  it now has indicated that churches are exempt from enforcing the mask mandate.   Starting this coming Sunday (Nov. 29) and for the Sundays in Advent, the following schedule will be used:

Sundays at  9:30 am   Worship with masks and social distancing for those who are most at risk.

Sundays at 10:45 am   Worship with masks OPTIONAL.  We will have Junior Church during the preaching time.

We will continue to monitor these ever-changing conditions and will make adjustments to do all we can to provide a safe environment in which to gather as God’s people to worship.  Please pray that the Lord will give us wisdom to make the right decisions.

In case of inclement weather, we will announce any necessary closings on WHTM 27 (ABC) and WHP 21 (CBS) TV stations.

Worship with us!

Sunday Worship at 9:30 AM   (Junior Church during preaching time)

Sunday School at 10:45 AM

In the Bible, God describes his church in many different ways: a “temple” that he is building, a “body” that is vitally connected to its head, Jesus, and a “bride” being prepared for her bridegroom. The Holy Spirit empowers the church to be the means by which the Good News of Jesus is being taken into all the world, and by which his people are being discipled and transformed into the likeness of Christ. We invite you to join with us as together we seek to:

WORSHIP EARNESTLY … SERVE GRACIOUSLY … LOVE GENEROUSLY
